Adding rubber scrapers to augers???

The point I have been trying to make is you don't gain in one area of performance without loosing on another.

Throw further, you have to go slower and thus throw less snow per minute.
If impressing your neighbors with your rooster tail of snow is important, go for it.
If your neighbor with an identical machine has made the mod and you have not, you will finish your driveway and be inside enjoying a beer while he is still at it.

It is not magic, the blower designers are not idiots when it comes to the basic physics of their products.

with this mod your not changing the volume of snow thrown, like you would be with a tighter flute on the augerbor higher gearing. your simply changing the gap to the chute so that more of the energy put into the snow is actually going up the chute. I'm not moving any slower.
