Adding Tabs to a Snowblower Auger to make it serrated.

Those photos are fine, and it is clear the tabs are doing what you wanted. Looks like you will get there without lowering the auger.

Finally got around to adding the second set of tabs today.

Here are a couple of pics showing the amount of snow still left behind my shop. This is on top of a saw horse.

I Have all the time in the world to modify my Lucknow. We have not had an appreciable accumulation all winter. Even took my 10 foot plow off and it's sitting in the side yard. Highly unusual for Michigan. I see it looks like you added the rubber 'squeege' paddles to your fan. I did the lucknow a few years back. Made a big difference with throwing wet snow.

My plan was to add the rubber paddles to the fan but ended up just welding beads to the end of each fan blade. That decreased the gap from about 1/2" - 3/4" to less than 1/4". It made a big difference too.
