I added a pair of lights to my BX2350, and I had a hard time trying to figure out how to tie into the fuse box with a new hot wire. I ended up just stuffing a wire inbetween the cable and post on the battery and putting a fuse in line. There were several open spots in the fuse box, but no way to hook up. There was nothing to plug a new fuse in to. It looked like you had to have some kind of special ends on your new wire (clips?) that would be installed in the fuse box and then the fuse would plug in to these clips. Anybody have this problem or figure a way around it?

A 'Fuse tap' is one way.

Well that looks pretty slick. I probably could have piggybacked on one of the existing fuses that way.

But when adding lights, you really gota watch your amp draws.

A fuse tap like shown will work fine for low amperage apps.

For lights, coming off the battery might be the better way to go.

The electric system on my homemade cab has all in line fuses and direct hookup at the battery with ringtype ends
It consists of two forward cab lights, two rear facing lights, heaterfan, cab fan, revolving light on top of rops,12 volt outlet, and wiper motor circuit. Its a little "busy" in the battery compartment ,but its all neat organized and hidden.
Isee no problem with a fused, direct to the battery connection.

My added front lites and added rear lites plus my caution
flashing device are coming off the battery with Fuses
for protection. Been 4 years and no problems at all.
I have a John Deere, but should make no difference.
elad Good Luck with your choice

This is how I connected mine, I have two toggle switches, forward facing and reverse lights. The oem light wire is only carrying enough load to trigger the relay. The battery cable is capable of carrying 360 watts of lights. Not that you need that much! That would be somewhere near full tilt of the alternator!
