Additive Measuring user friendly way

My purpose is to mix 1 ml of additive oil to 5 Liters of Gasoline / Diesel.

Just curious. What sort of additive requires that much dilution?

I just open the jug and pour some in, no measuring. A few oz. I don't think it matters that much... Some times I treat 6 gallon can, sometimes I just put some in tractor or RTV directly. HS

agree, i do the same...just ensure the additive is not alcohol based, too much of that could cause problems. good suggestions by other posters here....

I use a shot glass, no longer needed of course. I calculated the amount needed per 5 gallons of fuel in oz. and use the graduations on the shot glass. I agree that a little more or less won't hurt anything.

You can buy glass turkey baisters (sp?) with graduated markings (won't work on 1 ml volumes).

Stop in your local veterinary clinic and pick up large syringe body. I have used them for years for precise small measurements.

Hmmm... that's a good idea, mate. I've got a couple of them laying about already (bought them at a horse-tack shop).

Why? The 'boys' aren't that keen on worming paste (even though it's supposedly 'flavoured') but they do love "banana flavoured" ice-cream topping [it's an Aussie thing]. So I fill a couple of these big syringes up with that and squirt that in before the drench.

Heck, they're handy for drenching ear wax too! (not with the topping though, warm water :laughing

1 ML? That's 1/30 of an ounce. Wow that's some serious dilution.

TSC and Rural King carry 6 packs of 3cc syringes for under 2 bucks. 1ml = 1cc.

I need 40 ml to 5 gal,, so the little spark plugs the liquor store sells are 50 ml,, I practiced with how long it takes to pour the 50 ml out, and what 50 mls looks like in a bottom of a jug.and do the same with the additive,, gets me close

For smaller amounts, I have a tablespoon I use. I printed out a chart and keep it handy that lists tablespoons to ounces conversions. I'm sure there is one in the metric system also.
