If you think the single tab is strong enough, you could just bolt the front end of the adjuster to the tab. Washers on both sides of the swivel ball and either a castle nut and cotter key or a self locking nut. Heck, it doesn't even have to be metric.

It's pretty solid. The front hole is hooked up to the FEL stabilizer bar so think I'll give that a try.

Thanks

3 point hitches are a great invention. They are also a PITA! I am sure if there were something better, it would have been invented by now. I bought a quick hitch adapter but it has it's own set of problems. IF all of my implements had exactly the same measurements for the 3 points it would work great. Unfortunately the standard is fairly "loose" and dimensions vary enough to make them not all fit. One of these days I will re-work all the implements to make them match. In my spare time of course.
That's the problem with older implements and implements that aren't built to ASABE standards. I had that problem with my quick hitch too, and like you thought I'd correct all that in my spare time (Ha!) Spare time seems elusive for me. I fixed it all by getting a pair of Pat's Easy Change latches with the adjustable cross bar for holding, and reworking the geometry of the attachment points and lateral configuration of the sway chains with a center ring. This is an older pic from when I was still using the quick hitch, and before I changed to a hydraulic top link and hydraulic lift.

The hidden end of the sway chains attach at the same point where the lift arms attach, thus bringing the up-down and lateral movement in perfect alignment with the lift arms.

My JD 4105 has pinned tube stabilizers, from JD,,,

They have been perfect over the last two years that I have been using the tractor.

One of the "holes" is a slot, so a slight amount of play can be selected, rather than 100% rigid,,,

I believe as it is set in the picture, the slot is selected,,,

The cable that retained the pin rusted away, I had taken this pic to show the replacement cable that I made,,,

I think pin to pin would work, and also pin size. Could this also be used as a top link?

Tommy do you think this will work as described in the tractor single plate with a bolt and do the units come with the pins to connect to the bars?
