Advice on 01 Dodge 2500 Diesel

These are extremely tough trucks. We have one in the fleet that just turned 300,000!!! Original motor with bigger injectors and bigger pump. Wasn't broke just upgraded for power. Original trans went around 100 k. Found the weak link being the tourqe converter. Have an excellent trans man who found us a converter that was bullet proof. If you break it I'll
fix it no matter what was the warranty. That was 200 k miles ago and a lot
of trailer pulling and ignorant driving since and it's still going strong!! Only other complaint is like a lot of Chrysler. The evaporator
needed replacing.

If it is an automatic..........look at the trans cooler hard lines where they connect to the cooler flex lines. The fitting ends are metal with a metal clip. My 2002 Ram 2500 started leaking at 260,000 miles. It took a few days to track all the parts down.
I had to replace the fuel injector pump and both fuel pumps at 105,000 miles....right out of warranty. Since then been changing the fuel filter every 10,000 miles and still had another lift pump go out around 215,000 miles.
