Today I'm on a refurbed Dell E6410 laptop, my first Win 7 (Pro) experience. (<$300, free shipping, see '3btech' for deals on refurbs with OS. They come & go quickly & this is my 3rd laptop from them)
Win 7 is hardly more confusing than :yuck: Vista. The look is close enough to my 98SE, W2k and LINUX favorites. Kind of like buying a car or truck, 'new' isn't always better, and anything is declared 'old/obsolete' within a year or so anyway. The deals seem to be on 'late model' gear. 'New enough' will get you several years support, just as with 'the next big thing'. Just sayin' ...
