Advice on keeping cub cadet 3204 or compact tractor Fel

Yes, I have the yanmar sc2400, and can speak to its excellent performance. It's also the only subcompact out there with shift on the fly, which is pretty handy.

As for trade in, I guess I would see what they offer, probably between 1000-1500 as my best guess.....so I think you could make more listing on CL and or eBay.

Sounds like a subcompact is the way to go, unless anyone else can convince me otherwise

Just out of curiosity, what do you think my CC could fetch? I bought it from the previous home owner when we settled on the house, wrote him a check for 1500, he said it was around 6 grand new. It's got 275 hours on it.

If your set on a subcompact, take a look at the Massey Ferguson, I think it is a nicer tractor than the BX, here is a comparison video..Massey GC1710 vs BX25D Kubtoa - YouTube


If you do go with a sub, I'd go at least 25hp, skip the 18.

Personally I would keep the Cub around for a lawnmower, and get a 30/35 hp machine like a Kioti CK with loader, Something that has some weight to it, and more lift capcity. If you ever want to run a PTO blower or Mower more HP is good, Also if your into home projects a backhoe is really handy to have around,. I like having one aound whenever I need it, it takes about 2 or three minutes to take off and about 5min to put back on, I spent a few hours on it today and got a bunch of honey doos done:thumbsup:

Also if you went with a 30/35 horse size like a CK Kioti, they have a quick attach bucket, you can buy Pallet forks, grapple buckets, snow blades etc...take a look..all kinds of stuff for the FEL and 3 point Tractor Attachments And Skid Steer Attachments For Any Tractor Or Skid Steer

Whatever you get,you will wonder how you ever got by without a FEL...Shovels are now for cleaning your bucket

Thanks George, I've been doing alot of reading up on this forum, and right now I'm most interested in either the kioti or LS cut. For my hilly 2.5 acres, which series of both would you recommend? I'm most interested in the fel, no plans to mow with it, and holding off on the backhoe for now, but may consider adding later down the road.
