I have a DK35 with the electric pto engagement. My bushhog does not have a slip clutch it will stall the tractor if I dig it up in the dirt. I know I need to fix the clutch, but the whole gearbox and pto shaft on the hog needs to be replaced. I have a old bush hog brand that the gear box is made different than most.
What are yall tearing up in the tractor?? The pto shaft or slipping the clutches??
As far as switching the pto on and off it should do that for a very long time before it causes wear on the clutches. My tractor will cut the pto off if you raise the level of the 3 point hitch when in the auto mode on the pto switch. Figure that is for things like a tiller. If kioti built it to turn on and off by itself then they must think it is tuff enough to take the abuse.
I have had to replace the clutches in a ford tractor with the hydraulic clutch pto it must be made similar to what we have. It was a job but not to bad. Hope I don't have to do it with my tractor anytime soon.
