Advice on Kubota tractors

Pretty sure there are a lot of things you can do without in life but a Kubota isn't one of them !

Been running them since the '70s 175 with a 59" woods mid mount mower,
Would run that wide open all day and burn like three gallons of diesel !

Got a 185 DT in '87 , came used with a property , what a little work horse . Traded it for a 3010GST , wow what an upgrade ! Great machine but had enough snowblowing with no cab and traded for the grand L 5240, had it almost three years and close to 400 hours and I still get a big smile every time I start it up:)
Got the RTV900 just turned 100 hours on it, love it too ! Good luck !

My first time here and would appreciaite any feedback from either current or previous owners regarding Kubota tractors on the small farm and building sites ( trenching, moving soil/sand, loading rubbish). Looking for reliability, ease of repair, cost of repairs/parts, best suitability.

Thanks.
Ian.

I have a Kubota L3600 w/FEL and backhoe. It has served me well for the last 8-years or so. Recently upgraded to a JD 5055E, but am keeping the Kubota for the backhoe.

Have 02 b2710 that just rolled 500 hrs. Has been a great machine, for everything I've used it for have fel, bh, BB , rake, chipper, brush cutter, power grader, and grapple and looking for tiller. Machine fires up first go and still have original battery. Do my own maintenance and it's not to difficult or messy. I burn about 1/2 gallon an hour and will go around 10 hrs between fills. It is a pretty rugged tractor and have been hard on it occasionally, but it takes it and fires up the next day for more.

I have an L235 that I purchased new 25 years ago. It has about 1900 hours. I do the maintenance per the manual or a little sooner. In the 25 years, I've replaced all 4 tires once, replaced the water pump once, a tachometer cable, and replaced the battery several times. It sits outside a lot so the paint is faded and it has rust on it. It needs a little preheat from the glo plugs, but it starts right up. It used to be able to lift the mower very slowly at idle, but now needs to be just above idle although the idle setting may have changed over the 25 years.

When we bought the Kubota, the dealership had been carrying them for 5 years and had not had one back in for service yet according to the dealership. Don't know if that's true or just sales hype, but seems very likely based on my experience.

I'd say it has done very well and the ownership costs have been very low. When it comes time to replace it, I expect it to be with another Kubota.

My first Kubota was a G1800 bought used in 1995. I then bought a B26, again used and from the same dealer, in 2009. I just bought a GL11000 back-up generator.

I started with the G1800 and I'm very happy with Kubota quality and dealer service. I was sort of looking at replacing my G1800 last year until the salesman politely asked me if I was nuts! The G1800 is made out of steel where the newer models have lots of plastic (Yes even our beloved Kubotas are going plastic).

I've only put 75 hours on my B26 but it's lived up to my expectations. The generator is too new to make any comments.

At the end of the day though, it's your dealer service which will determine if you're happy. Any product can breakdown and even a small problem can really leave a bad taste if you get poor dealer support. I'd say your choice should be based on 75% product quality/value for money and 25% dealer reputation.

I am very pleased with the M7040 I bought in Nov. I looked at the Deere's but found I liked the 'bota best. It's done everything I've asked and then some. It is a real workhorse and fun to drive.

I bought it from Farm Country in Sulphur Springs, Tx and they are great to work with. Love the Orange.
