I'm curious... Since I don't know who manufactured my cutter (it is blue... maybe Ford/NH?), are there standard blade sizes? ... or should I just take off the old ones and bring one with me to TSC?

If it was me I'd take them with me. the last set I bought for my Bush Hog were $15 each. I never sharpen mine, pretty much just replace them when I hit something bad enough to brake a chunk off or they become very very chopped up.

EagleEye,
You might be interested in reading some of the old posts about sharpening bush hog blades. There was some pretty interesting discussions. I seem to recall someone talking about using a special welding rod to add a hard edge to the blade. Rewarding if you have the time.
