I need advice. I have been looking at subcompact tractors, like kubota's BX series & Simplicity's new Legacy XL. But I found a 2004 New Holland TC24DA, its a little larger but it is in "new" absolutely excellent condition. It has rear, mid & front PTO rear tires are loaded and many other extras. There's a FEL, rototiller, scraper, & rake too. He is only asking $15400 for all and he says "he's practically giving it away"! I own 115 acres mainly wooded (good timber) but I only mow my 1-1.5 acre lawn. I would like to keep my driveway, ditches & logging roads in good shape and put in some food plots. I know it will do alot but is it too big for mowing my lawn and what to you think about the price

I just got a new TC24DA a few days ago. Wound up paying $15250 for the tractor and loader with filled R4 tires. That price was close to what others on here had posted. The dealer had it originally priced at a little over $18000 and then had it on sale for $16200 for many months. If the guy paid list I guess he could think he was giving it away. By the way I love mine but have only put around 5 hours on it. I drove over parts of my lawn this weekend with the loader attached and had my 400-500lb ballast on the back and it didn't leave any marks. Of coarse your lawn may vary. I would sure think with removing the loader you would be fine as long it hadn't just rained or something. What tires does it have on it? If they are ags forget about what I just said. You would have a hard time not screwing up any lawn with those.

I have an MMM on mine and mow about an 1 1/2 acres of what is sometimes very soft and wet lawn. I have loaded turfs, with the FEL removed the machine leaves less of a mark than my 12hp riding Gravely. It is much easier to use as well, with the hydro trans and power steering. I think they are great mowing machines. Depends on your soil conditions and the tires. What type of mower are you considering?

Sounds like a good deal, especially if it is a private sale and you don't have to pay the sales tax.

The price is awesome, especially with a full load of toys. The TC24 is overkill for mowing a 1 acre yard, but it is still pretty small and you won't regret buying it and you won't find it to be too large.

Sounds like a super price.......I just paid $23,000 for the same tractor and all those toys (got the BH, too).

If you don't buy it let me know, it might not be too late to cancel my order.....dealer said mine will arrive 6/21!
