advise/knowlegde for head gasket replacement

although the pics leave a lot to be desired the flaw in the pictures is clearly in the valve seat. there is no extra material there for "flaws". if assembled as it is, it will not be long till it will burn the seat. "put a valve in and see if it hits" is not good advice. do it right and only do it once.

sorry bout the quality of pics, they were from a cell phone which was texted to me. just needed something to send to hoye to show them what i was talking about.

yes the repair man did say, sure i can use it, by why, it will eventually fail do to the flaw. So now i wait for a response from hoye, which will be delayed for the holidays. glad its the winter, and he's got plenty of time to work on it, till spring planting/tilling/discing time comes around.

Aaron from Hoye has been top notch with assisting me in ordering the right parts, and getting replacement parts that needed replacing. If every business ran like this, I'd be happy as a pig in ^%$(.

Tractor is done, I pick it up next friday. Yipee!! Thanks again Aaron, will ship those heads next week.

Guess I didn't understand that the "imperfection" was in your replacement head-- you did the right thing, and, yes, Hoye did good, too, as well as your mechanic! Be sure to ask what they recommend about break-in to seat those valves on your new head. Glad to hear you're up & running again!

Well, went to pick it up, but couldnt get into my pole barn due to the 3ft high by 60x30 snow drift in front of the barn. Finally got it plowed on saturday, but they are not open on the weekend. Said he would hold it for a couple more weeks till i can get back down there.

Picked up the tractor a couple weeks ago. Got down to my place this week and put some hours on it, tilling up about 2 acres for my food plot, and tilled and expanded my pumpkin patch. Running like a top.
