I tried leaving the MMM on my BX 24 for protection but running over the masonry debris made me cringe each time. I got the rear Bro Tech plate and it seems to work just fine. Ground clearance is a good bit better without the MMM.
Whatever you decide, I would definately do something to protect that fan.

Hi.

Bird1968 (aka Bro-Tek) - what is the story on the backhoe mounted PHD?

I did/do not want to hichjack this post, with the posthole digger. I was excited with the first run & replied to this post at the same time.

All I can say I was tired of the 3Pt, mainly the lack of reverse. When the post hole digger is stuck, it's stuck on a 3Pt PTO. With the BH & hydraulic, it's much easier.

I leave the mmm on. My on fealing is that the fan vunerability is a kubota design flaw. If I destroy the deck so be it. Its tuff so I doubt that going to happen. ALthough I have bent the deck area adjacent to one of the anti scalp wheel mounts. Straightened back out with the business end of a fbrglas handled pick.

I'm only willing to do so much to save the bx and kubotas reputation. There are several significant design flaws in this and most off road machines. There are not as many prying eyes and minds on this category of stuff as on autos for instance. Kubota or JD have to get it 95 % correct not 100. For my money it should 100 % correct but it aint.
