I have a 48" Midwest aerator, how much sway is ok when your using the arerator. Do you want the turnbuckles tight so you have next to no sway? I have the pins mounted on the inside on the aerator since I'm pulling it with a BX230.

When using a box blade I broke the turnbuckle on one of my sway chains. I was told that the sway chains need to be tight enough to keep the implement from swaying excesively. I was told to keep them tight while allowing enough movement for any changes when the implement is up or down.

I have a 60" aerator. I run the chains tight, but be sure to raise it every time you turn. It becomes a tiller if you don't.
