When I was looking for the winter photos I posted I found this photo. It is a aerial from spring of 02 I think. Iwas just getting ready to drain and pump the the dirt pit/pond out for summer work. Also I had just poured my shop pad. The concret is around 50 x 62. That fall I was finished with the pond. There were many trucks of dirt sold out of the pond. It was a pain to pump out each spring. It was well worth the trouble.

Nice view of your spread, Looks like a LARGE home you have there... Looks like the pond is near a down hill slope or a bank... I enjoy aerial photos as they give a good overall picture of things and can help in planning for other projects /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

We had a guy stop by to sell us an aerial photo of our place...it was quite expensive but the MIL footed the bill. she got a larger framed photo, we got a smaller one, and I talked him into giving us the TIF image on CD. The res is super high, and you can zoom way in.

This was taken last spring, and it was especially nice, since my wife and daughter were riding their horses at the time the photo was taken!

Microsoft's Terraserver

If you happen to be lucky enough to live in an area colored dark green, you get some mighty good resolution color imagry.

You guys got some great pictures of your homes. My neighbor is a pilot with his own plane and took a few pictures of my place the other day while taking some of his place.

I outlined my land in black. He owns the container barn I built awhile ago for those who remember that thread.

Here's a TerraServer shot of the property where I'm starting to build the retirement home. The while line is where the new driveway's going in...

Hopefully, TerraServer will update their imagery of this area (East Tennessee) soon... /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
