When I was shopping for property, I ised aereial photos a lot ans still refer back to mine. You can access the at

<A target="_blank" HREF=http://terraserver.microsoft.com>Terraserver</A>

use the advanced search to enter your address or a nearby town.

You can also see it in Topo and Relief

I also like <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.mapquest.com>MapQuest</A>. Many (most?)of their aerial photos are in color, and easier to distinguish detail.

holysmokes, I am amazed, never knew I could do that.

here's my place, looks like from July 2000 The building pad for my barn was just finished. I went to school with the guy that built it and I can see his excavator and off-road dump truck are still there. He also dug the pond in Oct 1998 almost two years later and is hardly any deeper but now it only has about a foot and half before spilling over.

This is so cool.

I wonder if Globexplorer keeps archives and how long they have been doing this.

The smaller bare ground area to the left of larger building site is where I had him build the original pad with the fill as he was excavating the pond. But then the barn grew in my head and decided I didn't like that spot anyways, he gave me a real good deal as a repeat customer though.

At Mapquest, I typed in the local town but it did not give me an aerial option and then typed in a more populated area and then it showed the aerial button and from there panned over to my place.

Thanks for Tip.

you might also check with your state or county website, some of them have the same type of photos.

I had purchased a copy of a black and white slide from the ag service that keeps them on hand for estimating acreage in crops when I had first bought my place, but what is most amazing to me is how easily I can take it off the internet.

Tried, but I'm too close to Camp David and that whole area is blocked out (for obvious reasons)

Nor did I at first then I requested a road map of a nearby larger city and then aerial map option showed up and panned over to my place from there but from looking for my place up north not all locations are accessible.

I wish A:) My pictures were that recent - mine are from 1994 - 5 years before I purchased the property and it was still a soy bean field (or at least the year we bought it not sure in this photo though) and B:) in Color. In the picture of mine that I've attached I've highlighted the my property. I had to merge 2 pictures together to get a complete picture as it scrolled to far.
