Enjoy your retirement. Take that trip you maybe always dreamed of. Mine was riding a motorcycle across the U.S. Sleeping any where I could find a spot to pull over. Pulled over one night about 1 AM in Arizona. Threw out my bed roll. Awoke next morning and seen a sign. "warning, rattle snakes, do not sleep here". Seen a hippie and got into a discussion and he said that is the problem with this world. All you old people retiring, hording all the money, using all that energy, consuming all our resources. Didn't take long for me to give him a piece of mind after working 50 years so he could beg and mooch off some else because he was too lazy to work or even take a bath. Again enjoy your retirement, time really flies when you get older and you will think back, "why didn't I do that when I could." Or you can just work your self to death and leave all your money to that hippie.

Coobie, a hearty congratulations for your retirement. I retired after 46 years last March. I'm having a blast. Haven't completed to many projects yet, but have a pad of paper with most of them on it. Spending some wonderful time with the wife....it's all good!

That's wonderful for you. You will be more busy than when you wereworking. What are the chances of some part time (cash) work for a local contractor or emergency worker going to the Southern States Storm next week ? Watch you expenses, fix up the house utilities (furnace, A/C, hot water tank), roof, etc. so you don't have to worry about them in 20 years when costs of replacement are 20 times what they are now.
Since you aren't going to be tied up working, you can join the rest of us enjoying low street numbers at garage and estate sales (early birds).
