I finally met my 2660. Purchased it for my place in CA, but stil living in MA. Had two weeks cancelled due to mil's failing health and her care. All good there, but finally got out for this past week. My daughter had been using the mid-mount mower/fel only. Dealer was kind enough to come out and check me out and I spent at least 8 hrs with the 48" brush bull taking down a thicket of blackberries. Given the grade on some of the lot, it had its moments, but was able to get to 80% of them backing up the grade.
I then tilled the berries. Got only about 20% done. B40C was going very easily but the tiller coughed up the perfect 4" rock that bound up between the drive side framebolts (don't think this would have happened had the interior bolts heads been round head allen type) and the first tine. Pop, goes the shear bolt. Surprised at how poor the manual is at identifying the shear bolt. I would think if you were going to speak of anything in a manual for a tiller, it would be shear bolts, location and function. Oh well! Had to go to the dealer to find out where it was located. Ran out of time and tools so i'm going to have to have the dealer come out to repair. No way around it as I'm heading back east early Sat am. I also did quite a lot of ground leveling with the fel.
What a great piece of equipment. This is my first capable tractor and as well as getting a great deal done, I had a ball. All I need now is a chiropractor
from having ridden side saddle going backwards up those slopes.
Learned a lot, had a good time and looking forward to the next visit!
