What if I were willing to modify something? I build machines at work for a living so some slight modifying would be a piece of cake.

My fabrication skills are limited to a hacksaw, baling wire and duct tape, but I've learned very little is impossible, difficult maybe.

I'd go to a dealer on some Sunday and take measurements and pictures on the older MX5000-MX4700-MX5100 and Grand L 853 loaders. You will have to reroute the hydraulics even between the 853 and 854 loaders, but they are very similar.

I worked in a designated poverty county for quite a few years and those guys could do some amazing things. I stopped by one guy's place and he had an old Allis Chalmers that he could afford parts for, so he went scrounging and bartering around town an fixed it with parts from a Ford and Chevy pickup with steering made from the shaft drive of a Honda CX500 twin as it had to be routed outside the frame past his new engine then back in. He had no formal mechanical training and while it looked a bit odd, it worked.

EDIT: Sorry I just noticed you last post.

I rarely see used loaders for sale, but they do pop up from time to time. Most often, from parted out tractors. There are some good aftermarket loaders, such as Woods, Koyker and Westendorf, especially, but they ain't cheap. My first tractor has a Bush Hog loader, and while it worked, it was basic. You want SSQA, for sure, IMO. Third function is good, too. Then, forks, light materials bucket, grapple... oh my!

Yes LA1065 is the OEM loader you want. (there may be a smaller loader that fits)

Woods is about the best out there for aftermarket, however Kubota's loaders are generally priced fairly well. IMO, its not worth the hit in resale value by slapping another brand on there. Pay the extra $300-400 and keep it OEM.

Any thoughts on what the price of the woods would be?

You think Kubota paint fades fast?! I think Woods must use food coloring! Lol.

When I added a loader to my Kubota tractor I was able to get KCC financing at 0% no money down. That helped in my situation.
