Way back when there was a thread called, (I think) The Ag Tire Elimination Rule. It was, IMO, the best discussion of the pros and cons of the various tread types. I can't find it on a search (wrong parameters?) but if it's still out there, I think we ought to make it a sticky. Lord knows we get enough "Which tire for me?" posts! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Might have know that it would have been a Glennmac thread. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Has anyone heard for him, lately?

Yes, that's the one! If we make it a sticky we could refer all the tire choice questions to it! Thanks!

I did not see any mention of rice and cane tires in that thread.

I - well dad - had rice tires on an old JD 45 combine. Even the rear steering wheel was that tall skinny single rib. Man, that thing would go through standing water, and that is something on this clay soil I have! Sure was hard on the drive belt tho, & made a mess of the field to try to work it up for the next crop.
