These are the tires I am thinking about ordering. I will want to fill them with rim guard. If there was anywhere local to get them I would.

Turfs are much wider than R1's, the R1's will not fit on the rims you have.

I think you will be fine. I think the previous posts referred to typical larger tractor tires where turfs are usually wider.

I stand corrected. The only turf tires I have seen have been the wide ones, didn't know they made the narrow ones.

My new tractor has R4s. My old tractor had turfs. The front turfs had lots better turning traction than these R4s. Think the R4s have a little better front/back traction. I'd keep the front turfs and go with R1s or R4s on the rear.

Lots of online sellers, but shipping is high. Try to find something local.

You looking for 2 ply, 4 ply or 6 ply?

I need a set of 26x9x12, 4 ply or 6 ply, for my EV.

If there are no ag tire dealers in your area, sometimes those that deal with semis can get them through their distributors and put them on the rims for you. I'm sure there are earthmoving type contractors in your area that need larger size tires for their equipment. Might want to check with one or two of them.

Chains add traction. I kept them on my '48 Farmall cub year round.

Ebay has some good prices on Ag tires. I was just looking over the weekend. There's some that include free shipping and the tires come mounted on new rims for not much more than used tire prices (around here). Having them already mounted on rims is handy if you keep the old tires for spares or sell them. Not many folks want to mess with loose tires any more.
