Again - what grease - but with a few qualifiers

I buy molly grease from TSC. Molly is an excellent, cheap, additive that makes plain grease qualify as "heavy duty".

It is more important to grease on schedule than to buy a hyped super-grease with heaps of testimonials.

Good advice!
Also to remember, it is not only the lubrication properties that counts but also the ability to flush out the grit grime and crap that chews up the bushings.

I have bought the Mystic grease it works well, got it at Walmart.

I bought some Mystic grease a while back and it is very tacky and stays in place better than the moly-general purpose grease I was using for my tractors.
I agree that greasing on schedule or more often with a general purpose $3 per tube grease is better than infrequently greasing with a super lube that cost more than $8 per tube.

The reason I started this thread was because I had been MISTAKENLY thinking that:
1. I would save $$ on tubs - but it seems that unless I go up to 55 gallon drums there isn't that much savings and there is very little available locally.
2. With the guns I bought

I can't use the standard tube - they don't fit.

BUT I discovered I could force the body of the gun into the metal end of a tube and then push about a half tube of grease into the gun. Probably with less mess than about any other way.
