Agracat Bankrupt?

My sales literature indicates that most of the Agracats have Mitsubishi diesels, but 3 of them show to have an LG diesel. Any idea if LG is making their own diesels, or just relabeling? The tractor I had at the show was a model with a Mit., but short of taking the hood off, I could not find a decal verifying this.

LG and Mitsubishi are different motors,If you looked at Tafe USA you will see that their LG tractors use LG motors, Long uses the Mitsubishi engines in their LG machines,I have seen the current dealer pricing on the LG Line from A.cat which is a great product but I did not feel the "value" was their in comparison to basically the same machine with a loader or backhoe from Long or Tafe USA which have a stronger name, not saying that they were overpriced, I just that I felt that their dealer pricing should be more competive so they could help rebuild the name and gain alittle market share ,Im sure they will have some programs especially if they have 1000 units on the water and just a handfull of dealers , It seemed like many idems were alacart where they are standard with the other 2 mentioned mfg.'s, Remotes ect. Im sure that the pricing does vary across the counrty due to shipping. If those rumers fall by the waist side they will have a nice product to market

I was approched by a LG/Agricat TM at the World Ag Expo in Tulare Ca. and he said the same thing about JB Hunt being involved. The LG is the tractor Long was bringing in painted purple.

Long still has LG tractors up to 55HP with Mitusubishi and a new lower cost model with a 3 cyl that I suppose is the LG engine. I've got 4 on the way so I'll know better when they get here. They are blue now and are called Farmtrac. They had been called Landtrac when they were purple. The UTB tractor is called Longtrac.
I agree with Glen's/Coastal's comment above concerning the Agracat pricing. I have seen a few dealers here in Arkansas take them on recently however.

Chuck,
You were right. JB Hunt is involved with Agracat. I don't know what the extent is exactly. I will say that I have learned that he is now backing them some how. Another interesting thing is that he now owns what I would thing and have heard to be the largest Agracat dealership.

I live in Springdale, Arkansas which is the new home for Agracat. I know a local dealer who has been with the company for 3-4 years. They originally sold a remarked Jinma tractor and are now selling LG tractors. It's true that JB hunt is a part of the deal. From what I know he basically bought majority interest in the company and kept the original owners to manage things. They have a wholesale yard which I drive by on my commute to work. Over the last 3 months they have gotten in around 400 tractors and shipped probably 250 out. At least twice a week there are shipping containers arriving with new tractors. My friend who is a dealer has 18 new tractors on his lot in the last 3 weeks.

I saw the Agracat at the World Ag Expo. It was one of the first tractors I saw. It was green, which would have made my wife very happy. I talked with them for a few minutes and was informed about JB Hunt being involved. He gave me list price for I believe 30 HP with loader and backhoe for around $22,500, FOB Arkansas. They said the diesel was a Mitsubishi 4 cylinder. Nice unit but so are the others in this class. I agree they will need to be very agressive to break into the market. They admitted few dealers. I have the business card for the west coast manager at home if anyone is interested. I believe he is in the Seattle area.

Long has the Farmtrac LG tractor (In Blue) 39HP TLB package, R-4 tires etc available at similar price. 4 cylinder Mitsubishi. The new 270DTC and 320DTC use Daedong (KIOTI) engines not the LG engine and have 8x8 shuttle shift, open deck design and can be had with a loader in the low to mid teens with R-4 ind tires. Three year warranty, 36 months 0% or up to 84 month financing too. The new Agricat and the FArmtrac LG series are S. Korean. The original Agricat was JINMA.
