Agracat goes after Montana

I seem to be in a minority in my opinion of JerryG posts. I am looking at his posts from the viewpoint that if I was thinking about buying a tractor and was looking at this forum to see what was said about the Montana brand name for instance. The information about a law suit is not the kind of thing that would make me feel comfortable about buying a new tractor. I also believe that I read one or two posts that were negative about the montana. If JerryG is trying to just inform the public and that is all he is trying to do I apologize. I also realize you can make true statements that are slanted in several different directions. Jerry seems to have some inside information that he feels would not be apropriate to share with others because of probably the sensitive nature of that information. I would suggest to Jerry that he looks at the type of cases and clients that both attorneys are known to seek out. After looking at that information he might want to decide if telling the world about this lawsuit is in the best interest of the public

Once again I feel the need to apologize. When I did my original post about JerryG I had looked at a couple of posts he did in the Montana Section and felt that they were negative. After reading his reply and the other reply about JerryG I went back and spent more time looking at a lot of posts by JerryG. The vast majority of them were very helpful to people with various brands of tractors. I do however feel that I personally would not have posted an article about a pending lawsuit concerning a brand of tractor that is in competition with me. As I am sure most people are aware anyone can file a lawsuit and it does not have to have merit. If I personally were going to talk about a lawsuit such as the one mentioned I would have waited for the results to come out before commenting on it.

I do find it interesting that one of the parties is asking for a jury trial. A lot of times a jury trial is requested by a party that feels they dont have a strong factual case. Normally in this type of action you would have a judge issue a ruling on the merits of the case.

I don't know why you seem stuck on the idea that Jerry is a dealer. Check his profile by clicking on his name or avatar. It appears that he raises chickens.

There is a much better chance that gemini5362 is involved with Montana, than that I am a dealer. If I offended gemini, I am sorry. Anytime something involves an Ag company; there is a very good chance that it will be posted here on TBN because this is a tractor site. This is no different except that I know some of the people involved. Any news about these companies is fair game to be discussed. This thread would have died a long time ago as far as I am concerned if others would have left it alone. Like I have said before, I don’t have anything else to say about this, at least until after it is over and maybe not even then. If I had time to go to the trial, then I might say something else, but I don’t.

Being a chicken dealer keeps you busy :D .

And you don't have money to buy enough tractors to be a tractor dealer. That is the way farming is today.

I wished I had some in with montana maybe then I could get a manual for my 4940C. I went with my dealer strictly because of his prices. I should have paid more and went to a better dealer. My dealer has no parts whatsoever for montana's He did not have a key to give me for my cab and one of the doors was locked when I got it. I finally got a key for it by going to his office when one of the reps was there and asking the dealer for a key. When he told me he did not have one the rep gave me his.

JerryG I am jealous if you have 57 acres in NWA. When I was in college my aunt offered me to sell me 40 acres of lakefront property on beaver lake for 40,000 dollars. I did not feel like I could make the payments so I did not take it. Once in a while I go and look at the property from the road and brush away the tears.

Gemini,

I am not trying to be critical----but Montana is headquartered in Springdale--and they are not hard to contact, by toll free number or e-mails that are listed on their website, from the CEO on down the line. They are very customer oriented, and should be able to help you, if you are having problems getting what you need from your dealer.

Or , if you want, you can call my parts man during business hours,or just e-mail me, and we can get you what you need. (It would probably be less expensive since you are in Arkansas, to get parts there, however.)

Thank you for much for your offer. Actually this morning, I went ahead and called another montana dealer who is in Fayetteville, Arkansas (about a 20 min drive from springdale) I told them my problem and they were very helpful. The looked up the things I needed and let me pay for them with a credit card, They then arranged for the items to be shipped to my house so that I would not have to make a trip up to their dealership to get them. Prior to my purchasing a montana tractor I went into the headquarters in springdale. The people there were very nice about it but explained to me that they dealt with dealers only not the general public. I was not aware that I could go there and see about getting the information I wanted.
