I have a friend that is their Parts Manager. As far as I know they are still there, I haven't talked to him for a while.

Yes they are still around. Bought some parts last week for a customer. Don't know if it is public, but in addition to the Chinese made tractor they are now distributing the LG Korean tractors including some with Cab and AC in as small as a 41HP unit. I am looking forward to getting some info on these. LG builds some of the tractors for Long and Tafe currently and are very nice units!

since I see you're a dealer maybe you can tell me are the agracat just a rebadged jinma ? or are they a stand alone manufacturer

I am a dealer, for FarmPro, also a Jinma based tractor. I do have an AgraCat in my shop now that is two years old and I can see no difference to Jinma except some nice emblems. I think they probably pay a bit more attention to cosmetics on the new ones to help justify thier higher price, but I have not seen a new one They did offer a two year warranty, but I don't know if that is still the case.

I am planning to drive up to Farmington soon to take a look, especially their new LG based tractor and ATV, Skid Steer, and excavator lines too!

I was told that the new JINMA LE version was supposed to be a proprietary design for Agracat to help differentiate it in the market, but it seems Yancheng Tractor Company has sold it to several other importers too! (Chinese have a unique business ethic).

I suppose the proper answer is that SOME Agracats are Jinma but not all, Some are now LG and there is a huge difference in both quality and price between the JInma models and the LG models.

LG is South Korean manufacture of tractors. They make the 4WD Tafe tractor and the Landtrac models from Long Agribusiness. You might find more info on them on the Long forum. Some models (from all three companies) feature 4 cyl Mitsubishi diesel that is very smooth running, Synchro-Shuttle and HST trans is available too. Comparable qualtiy to Century/Branson, TYM (Scorpion and Mahindra) etc.

Of course all this comes with a price, could be as much as twice the cost of a Chinese tractor of similar size!

Thank you for your reply , I've looked at landtrac I personally thought they were a nice tractor , pricey, but lots of standard options, (if that made sense) but, and here common sense kicked in finally, too big for two acres.

If it is built by LG it is probably going to blow away the rest of the tractors in their line up. LG builds some quality products. They also build TVs, cellphones, microwave ovens, etc.
