I don't see how it can. If both hoses are disconnected (and don't leak ) then the fluid can't leave the cylinder, so unless the seals between push and pull leak, it shouldn't move.

At least that's what I would think. That's why I'm hoping someone with firsthand experience with this unit will post. The DPCV units are more money, and more to eventually go wrong. I stick with simpler and cheaper wherever possible.

dont get me wrong. i would like to buy this unit asap as well if everything checks out. may just bite the bullet and go ahead and get it

buy a couple of ball valves and put them in the hoses

I bought one from them about 5 years ago, and it's still working great. I also bought some hoses for it. I did have to buy some adapters to make the hoses fit the couplers, but it was no problem. I haven't had a problem with creeping. I use it mostly with the box blade, but leave it on all the time. Even with a 7' rear finish mower I haven't had any issues. I'd recomment it.

Please make sure you get ball valves rated for hydraulic service, and not the ones at Home Depot, et al rated for plumbing service.

My experience with Surplus Center is that they don't jerk people around on shipping the way Agri-Supply does.

For peice of mind and price, I think that's the one to get. Has lock valve on it. I assume you can remove hoses and it will stay stationary

I haven't disconnected my hoses to find out; but if the DPOCV is functioning correctly, the cylinder shouldn't drift.
