air cleaner clip for JD 2305

I've somehow managed to lose one of the clips that hold the cover on the air cleaner of my 2305. John Deere doesn't sell the clip separate from the cover, which runs $80-90. I've seen in other threads that folks have recommended a couple replacements: Dorman 41101 and John Deere R124848. Does anyone have experience getting either of these clips to work on the 2305 air cleaner?
