Well, if I ever buy an $1800 compressor, I'll probably put good oil in it. For a Harbor Freight compressor, I think Harbor Freight oil might be okay. Or maybe even a $6.99 bottle of Rarus 427.


Or was that just another subtle plug for Amzoil?

Maybe, that's what I use in it though. Just like your plug for an HF compressor. lol
This is the only large compressor I have ever bought. I figured I would get one that would do everything I ever wanted to do.

I don't worry much about oil, but I always start the compressor, a old sears model, with the drain valve open, so there is no load on the machine, let it run for 30 seconds or so, then close it. I've started it below zero here in Michigan.
