Air compressors

this BelAire 318VL 7.5HP 80G 2 Stage Air Compressor w/ Magnetic Start | JMCAutomotiveEquipment.com is what I have in my shop. It provides me with plenty of air (25.25 CFM @ 90 PSI). I bought this to operate a large glass bead machine. I think I paid about 1,300.00 back when I bought it. It seems to have gone up in price quite a bit.

Just as well my air compressor is oil- less. Wouldn't an oiled air compressor last more years than an oil-less? I'm not familiar with household air compressors only comercial, larger air compressors.

A salesman at a manufacturer and sales place told me years ago that you would expect the oiled compressor to last about 10 times as long as an oilless.

i believe that,. i had an old IR oil-less unit that never made it 5 years. my oiled emglow is way over 20 years old...still runs great
