Air conditioner compressor not coming on?

I love those things! Customers bring me their car that they tried to fix by topping off and end up with more things wrong. An overcharged system can perform just as poorly as an undercharged system.

Hmm, I've had 2 different vehicles change from blowing warm air to blowing cold air. Worked well in my case.

Did not see that it was a question in the Toolcat forum, I'm still a newbie here. Anyway I would think the system operation is very similar to a car. Probably should try to get a wiring diagram and see what controls the compressor clutch.

Worked great this afternoon. Maybe it has a temp switch. I will watch it and let you know. The toolcat likes to wear different hats. I was using it with the root rake to smooth out where the dozer cleared our yard. You would have thought it was a super maneuverable tractor. Then the guy shows up with the concrete balusters for our raised concrete deck. Toolcat to the rescue. It lifted the 2000 lb pallets with ease. You would have thought it was a rough terrain forklift. Then back to root rake. I absolutely love using the machine.

This is a 2011 toolcat f series. I will try it again this afternoon when it is warmer. I hope it just didn't kick on because it was cold outside.

The 2011 toolcat has a different type of thermostat than those used in earlier models. It has a low temp cut off so compressor will not run when not needed. This thermostat also has a self diagnostic trouble shooting system in it, uses an indicator light and flashes a sequence if a short in the wiring or clutch, etc. P.S. This thermostat is a direct fit to all earlier Bobcat systems and is now the replacement part if you need to replace it on earlier models. Same thermostat fits all Bobcat Skid loaders, Track loaders, Excavators, & Toolcats w/AC built in USA.
