I have a Kubota 4310, Today the air filter light came on. As I live in NY and right now we have snow I didnt think it was dirty but I took them out and checked them, not very dirty at all . Has anyone have the sensor for the air filter light fail ? I am going to get new filters tomorrow , Its almost spring and I change them then anyways. Thanks Wayne

Two weeks ago I bought a used (406 hrs, now 418) L3010 and the seller told me he recently had to replace the air filter sensor.

I looked around on here, and there are several instances of that sensor going bad.

I think if my light comes on, I'm going to remove the bulb!

I remember a post from a few months ago where someone else was having a problem with the light and the sensor had been replace a few times. His solution to the problem was to remove the electrical connection.

You could just disconnect it like the previous post stated...remembering to check ur filter every once an awhile, and even more if u are working in dusty conditions. On our jobsites we have to clean our our air filters every morning...gets pretty dusty in the summer. I dont know exactly how the sensor works but i assume that if the sensor gets some dust on it the light goes on....if this is the case i would try seeing if the sensor is free from dust or gunk...once again i dont even know if thats how it works /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

My air filter light came on, I replaced inner and outter filters (didn't look dirty) and the light stayed on. I unscrewed the sensor and then plugged it back into the harness and blew on it, sure enough the light went out. I reinstalled and then it came back on within 10 hours of new filters. I ignore it now.

Well, here's another L10 owner with a bad air sensor at about 400 hours. In my case, it happened after a cold snap that took temps down into the single digits, which is pretty cold for this area. Put new filters on - they were due anyways - but the little sensor was bad, just like the other posts here have noted. I speculated there may have been some moisture that got frozen in there.

That's the only part that's failed on the tractor without being the result of something I did to it.

I had mine come on this weekend after plowing snow for 2 hours. I think it froze up. The next day it went out and I haven't seen it on in the last 2 hours of running time. I bet they don't like the cold temps.
