Just my $.02 from personal experience... Of course mine is with trucks, but a diesel is a diesel when it comes to airflow. Dont cut corners on an air filter. You shouldnt need to replace it that often. Most aftermarket filters are sub standard. They will usually either pass more dirt or collapse when they get dirty resulting in a dusted engine(BIG$$$$). I'm sure you've heard the "pay me know or pay me later" analogy. Just my recomendation, but I have reasons....

On the bottom of my BX air filter was a Fleetguard number. My local Carquest was able to xref it. $25+ though ... dunno what a filter from dealer would have been.

I have a B7510 so this information may not apply to your tractor.
On the B7510 the air filter is very expensive, but, the Operator's Manual says to wash the filter in detergent and let it air dry. It says you can do this 6 times before replacing the filter.
When I told the parts guy I was washing the filter he told me I couldn't do that. He thought it was paper and would disentegrate. I showed him the Manual and that was the first time he had heard of it.
The B7510 filter is made of some type of synthetic material and washing does not affect it. I bought a spare and when I put the new one in I washed the old one and let it air dry for a few days. Next time it needed to be changed I put the old one back in, washed new one, etc.
Check your Manual and see if that applies to your filter.

I don't know what your dealer charged you?
At tractorsmart.com, the inner filter is $30.80 and the inner filter is $30.10.
These are still expensive but you may save a few bucks as opposed to buying from your dealer?

My B6100 manual says the same thing.
Mine says the same thing. I just checked it. I have been blowing it out with compressed air from the inside. It is tired and ready for replacement. I just want to get a couple of filters ahead for those jobs were it is really dusty. FleetGuard makes some for the Kubota, but I can't find a price or local dealer. Internet supplier anyone???
Boys and girls.....In Kubota service school, they expose to leave the filter alone - do not remove, replace, or clean. As there is a decent chance of not getting a good seal and dusting the engine.
They expose to leave the filter in place until airflow is extremely restricted (black smoke in exhaust) and then to replace with a new one using grease to aide sealing (OE of course - if your tractor is under warantee only use OE as Kubota is extremely hard over on this).
