Akcela Nexplore (MAT 3525)

Hi All,

I need to add some hydraulic fluid to my CaseIH JX85. I've used the NH134D fluid for my TC40, but after looking on the web and going to Tractor Supply to look at all their fluids, I can't seem to find the appropriate cross for the Akcela Nexplore type fluid (In my JX85 Manual). All of my google searches turn up foreign webistes without the info I'm looking for.

So, my question is: "What is the appropriate fluid/cross for Akcela Nexplore Hydraulic fluid?"

In past times I believe, CNH said that Hy-Tran or 134 fluid would be acceptable. Now only Nexplore is.

If there is a generic equivalent, the Europeans would know it. They have more machines that use Nexplore than the N.A. market does.

Akcela makes the HyTran Ultra which is designed for Case standard MS1209. My Case/Cub Cadet/Kubota dealership also sells an oil that meets Case MS1210 (which has a lower bottom end of the operating range) under the Akcela name.

In my search for things that would meet the HyTran Ultra standard, I only found one oil at TSC that specifically mentioned that standard on the label. It was $20 for 2 gallons, which is pretty close to the name brand at the dealership. They also had several that met 1206 (Hytran) and 1207 (Hytran plus).

If you can't find an alphanumeric standard on the container you have, maybe you should go to a couple of dealerships and look at what they sell. The information you seek might be on the label of something there. I don't think they have to carry only the Case IH branded oil, especially if they are a multi-brand tractor store.

As far as I know, there is no handy cross reference for oil performance standards. It would be nice if everyone used the same system like they used to with the SAE standards, but apparently the influx of imported machinery and the globalization of the market has killed that idea.
