If I understand your post correctly, you were able to purchase a BX23 without purchasing the loader that it usually comes with the BX23? I had assumed that when you purchase a BX23, that you had no choice but to get the loader and hoe installed. I didn't' know that you could buy a BX23 as just the tractor alone.....

Sorry Junkman I didn't mean that I kept the loader from my old tractor. The loaders on the new BX23 and 2330 are different than the older style that was on my BX2200. What I was trying to say is I kept the front mounted snow blower and MMM. When I was trying to hook up the quick mount for the blower, there was a problem with the hydraulic hoses. I wanted to let people know if they have plans to keep the quick mount and trade in the older style tractor for a new BX model they should be aware that the hoses will not work on the old quick mount.

The dealer wasn't able to get the part description from the parts book for the BX23, so it was either guess on the size of an extension for the hose or wait and order the hose as a part from Kubota. I opted to buy a 24" piece of hose with male and female ends to make the hose work. It isn't pretty, and it costs about 25.00 dollars.

Had I known this I would have had the hoses worked into the deal on the tractor. To make it right, have the dealer order 2 new hoses from the hydraulic cylinder to the FEL control.

Just a heads up.

Thanks for the clarification..... The hoses and quick disconnects are standard parts and you don't have to go to Kubota to get them. Today, many NAPA and other auto stores will make hydraulic hoses to your spceification... My carpet cleaner has the same quick disconnects as my tractor... Only difference is that the carpet cleaner has brass and the tractor has steel.......

Have a BX1800,new in 01,760 hours.Not happy with it.Bought it for the wife,I have a 2120 Ford 40 hp.All the BX is used for is for mowing 10 arces and snow blowing in the winter.Blew the gear box on the mmm.Cost $700 to fix and they couldn't find the shaft I needed,had to machine one.I have a 1954 Ford NAA,I can get parts in 3 days for that tactor.Have to take it back so they can put the correct shaft in,if they have it.Two hyd hoses got pin holes in them.Can't ever seems to get parts for it,I go to 2 differant dealers too.I replace blades yearly.which is uderstandable,but they have to order them.Hates to start when it cold.The 2120 will start circles around the BX and that's without using the glow plugs on the 2120.The BX will be going down the road in a few years.I'm running back to Blue.

tractors are like wives...... every once in a while some one gets a bad one, but overall, they are all dependable. I suggest a trial separation and see if you can live without the BX. If it is that bad of a tractor, I will give you a couple of bucks for it knowing all the problems that it has and take it off your hands... Let me know.

Probaly about 3 years junkman I'll be pulling up in your your with it.Probaly it will need a part,but don't worry it will be in by a couple weeks.

I find that normally Kubota parts are a three day thing. We can get over nite for not to big of a charge. I don't know if your dealers are on electronic order but it is faster then we've ever had from them.

Maybe I can take honors for the lowest hours. Just turned 3 yesterday. 2004 BX2230. FEL, MMM, 42in mashio tiller, back blade. So far - - love it. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
