Well.. I spent all day saturday working with the tractor. I had to move some dirt and redo some drainage because my new pasture/barn renters have complained about water running into the barn and pooling in front of the stalls. I told them I would work on it as soon as it was dry enough I could work everything. I pushed it a little and started on it saturday. I started by tilling the area in front where I need to take out some dirt for a swale. Sunk. Had to paddle my way out. I should have stopped there, but no.. tracteritis is itching since tractor usage has been low during the winter. I kept working it and dumped about 10 bags of partially ruined mortar mix in it to help. Kept it turned about every 2 hours and with help from 60 degrees and sun, by late evening was getting it somewhat firm. Maybe tomorrow I could switch and put on the box blade and move it.
Well. Got up this morning went to Church, got out and walked to the car in the rain.
Grrr. Now I get to spend all evening monday and tuesday cleaning the tractor and tiller and will have to do it all over again next weekend, or whenever that swampy area that I tilled dries out again. Now it is tilled and will hold water even worse. It may not dry out again till July.
