You had 0% interest and you paid it off that early? Curious as to why I don't like payments either but I would have put the money I owed them into something else and held out the full 60 months.

I have some rules:

New vehicle 48 months max UNLESS 0%.

Used vehicle 36 months max UNLESS 0%

It just works for me, I hate payments. But congrats on paying it off early!

Getting ready to retire at the end of the year so I'm trying to pay off all outstanding loans (tractor, car, etc) so I don't have anything hanging over my head later on. With what banks are paying for interest...next to nothing...I think I made out better paying off early. Part of Kubota's loan program is that they require you purchase the KTAC insurance. That gets added to the payments. I ran the numbers on Kubota Credit's website. I saved over $800 by paying it off 46 months early as I don't have to pay the extra insurance cost.

I have considered paying it all off, except the last payment. This would keep the Kubota insurance intact for the rest of the years that would be left on the loan. I could not insure my B3200 off my property for as low as Kubota's rates are. :2cents:

I had a friend who thought that way about something he was paying on, might have been his mortgage. He paid several months ahead, then tried to skip a month on his payments. Got hit with late charges,etc. Even though he had paid more than was due to that point, the bank wanted a payment every month. Don't know if Kubota Credit works the same way, but I wouldn't be surprised. Paying ahead usually doesn't get you out of the next monthly payment.
