woke up to about 30" in Peabody Ma. and it snowed all day today to. have not heard a final total " amount, but put about 12 hours on the bx-22. Had to stop for a refuel. Good thing the trailer has a fold up gate or I would not have been able to find it. could not pull it out with the tractor to clean it off had to us the truck, not enough traction with tractor. then used the snow blower to clean off the trailer. pushed banks back as far as possible, where am I going to put more of this stuff for the rest of the winter. cannot stack it any higher. (sorry no photos)
We got enough to cover the drive but it melted in an hour
All the local Weather Experts predicted 3-5" for us down here on Thursday. Local DJ's promptly predicted 1/2". Guess who was closer.... DJ's!
I wish we had some snow and cold for the winter sports; ice fishing, X-country skiing and inner tubing.
We Rode over to Chicago yesterday... hardly any snow and all the lakes were still very open. Even small ponds only had a glaze near the edges that the geese promptly broke up.
Good luck to you Eastern folks with the big snows.
Mark In NH... your new plow is pretty cool. Just in the nick of time!
I think our weather people have lost their tarot cards. Every day for deer season, 11-15-30th They predicted snow. It snowed 2 days and rained the other 13. They never did predict the rain /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif I think I'd be better off with a lucky 8 ball /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
( I thought you guys knew it snowed up thar )
I agree, 10" in NH shouldn't count as a storm, it's more like a dusting. We got 10" down south of the Mason Dixon line here in MD. I cleared the driveway & the road in under 5 hrs. I also stopped to get the mail, now I know what that toolbox is for. Also, kudos for the mail getting through. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
I'm in Cambridge, New York, about an hour northeast of Albany. We got about 18", I think, it's hard to tell, because it was so windy it drifted so much.
It was light and fluffy, real easy to plow with my Oliver and a backblade. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
