The quote of $17,950 is for a Sc2450 TLB w/3 pt Hitch Hookup, 12" BH Bucket, 48" Box Blade and Grader Blade ?

Asking for a Block Heater and wheel weight, either loaded tires (which are small) or wheel weights. I am sure the loaded tires are less expensive than the weights so that is what he will offer.

I can get an Sc2450 as above plus a few little extras for $16.9K, a $1.5K difference, just one state over, 500 miles.
I am thinking that it will be better for servicing if I buy local and it might keep the dealer in business, might be worth the $1.5K.

Any opinions ? LoL

Nice looking rig.

Did you shop for other brands and price.??

Regardless, I would buy local. In these times, buy everything local.!! Just might save your job.!!

Most of the New England Dealers didn稚 want to bargain; I had to go over the border to NY to get a low price.
Pricing - JD too much money; MF 2400 Series, too much; Kioti CK20SH too much; BobCat more expensive. all of these tractors they were asking over 20K$.

I am trying I have asked for quotes from all of the NE Dealers and as I said it is like they have all of the business they want,, they will not talk on price; at lease to a newbie.
It wasn稚 until I got this quote from NY that I really started to see the hard line on pricing.

That's a lot of bang for your buck. Not sure about the other brands, but that isn' t the same size machine as the Kioti CK20 or Bobcat equivalent. The K/BC is a bigger, more capable tractor. So, it's important to know that you are comparing apples to apples, which isnt' always possible. In the end, though, if the CC does what you need done, then it's a better choice as you save some money. It seems the favorite in that size machine by many is the MF. Did you look at those?

Just curious what model Deere did you price? The price on the Deere seems WAY high after looking at list price from the Deere website.

What I've been seeing for several months now in my small area of New England is that many dealers have low stock on tractors and attachments and their parent companies didn't anticipate the higher than expected interest level in this economy to keep an inventory. That being the case and the 0% financing incentives has many dealers in my area holding the priceline up more than one would expect. That does not mean you can't find a dealer willing to move things a bit faster through pricing but in my parts they're hard to find.

I believe the JD was a 2320 I like them but CCY appears to be the way to go.

The Dealers in New England are all holding the prices high on most tractors, could be what you said about Supply and Demand. The local Supplier for CCYanmar’s said he doesn’t have a 2450 in and stock but will next month (Mid-Aug), only problem if he gets one then there will be no price breaks. Also, most Dealers I talked to think the Factory Incentives are enough, NOT for me !

I am a little worried about the capabilities of the little Sc2450, still thinking.
My needs are low in HD Duties, a couple of trenches, reducing the height and leveling an area about 10K sq ft, dig out for a sunken patio area and fire pit, so a little tractor may be OK if the Sc2450 is up to it.

The $16.5K price is still good and a drive to NY, along the MA Border isn
t too bad; just need to find some money.

I can't comment on the other brands but if you price Deere you should get a discount of atleast 10%. Most things I buy are discounted from 15% or better.

Sales are low and the economy is in the toilet, so anyone making purchases in hardgoods should shop wisely.
