for it to work, they all need sold in the same transaction. So they would all need to be cash purchases.
not a bad idea, but you'd be disappointed to see the size of the discount.
Yeap, one order, one invoice, all cash, multiple brands and models as long as what the dealer can access, multiple delivery addresses, even a small discount being better than none, provided the work involved wasn't that much of a major.
Say we got together 5 buyers averaging about $20k each. I suspect a $100k order might be worth more than a free fridge magnet to the dealer, compared to a single $20k purchase. But people being people and life being complicated, could any such group actually pull something like this off?
And would the warranty still be able to be split to the respective buyers rather than whoever is nominated the buyer on the invoice, etc? Again, perhaps I'm dreaming but I'd rather hope dangling a $100k carrot in front of a dealer might motivate them to be somewhat accommodating in this regard.
Who knows? Has anyone actually tried it? If so, did it fail to get off the ground?
I tried to get a group purchase of chainsaw gear organised here and had well over a dozen people and we managed to get some pretty good deals, but when it came time to put $ into the hat, people evaporated until there was just two of us left.
