First of all let me excuse myself for lurking around TBN for along time and not participating.
I have been reading here since the early MChalkley coffe cup discussions.
Not being a tractor owner, I had little to offer, but have had the "use" of one for years.
Now things are swinging my way as a purchase may be imminent!
I've decided on a Kubota primarily based on the close proximity of a couple of dealers and their promise of good service after the sale.
I have not decided which dealer to go with yet as I am still waiting for one to come back with his best price.
I'm also hoping to be able to negotiate a fair price.
Here is what I've found so far........................
3830 HST, Block Heater, R4 loaded,...................17500.00
LA723 72" hd, cutting edge, not quick release,......4850.00
Woods 9000......................................................8825.00
h-thumb............................................................2500.00
total.................................................................33675.00

Is this in the ballpark?

I dont know about the price, but what do you need the thumb for?

Where do you live?

The thumb will help me to be more productive in my stonewall building efforts as well as brush gathering and piling.
Instead of trying to scoop up the stone and plop it down, I'll be able to pick it up and place it.
I live in the NorthEast.

I asked in case you were in Mi, there is a woods dealer here that could beat the BH price by a thousand

I can see the stone wall part, I watched a 10,000# range excavator build a retaining wall, but he had a grapple type that also articulated side to side.

But the range of motion of a 9000 wont do you much good in the brush piling, there you want that quick detach bucket off and forks to go on, or a more expensive grapple on the bucket.

Welcom to TBN,

Tractor or not you are welcome and we would have loved to have you participate.

As far as your price it is tough for most of us to help you since we don't know the area you live in. In your profile fill in at least the state your in. As others will say pricing is driven by the area you live in. You price may be good in my area but not in your area. Others in your area will be able to help you more on your pricing.

Thanks, thrci, I followed your advice.
rdln, I wanted to try my first attempt at posting a photo of a rake that would work in conjunction with the thumb for brush work.

I'd post the link to this fabricators site, but the rule on the forum isn't real clear and I don't want to mess up!
I don't have any interest in promoting him other than the fact that he has some neat attachments.
