Almost ran over a Turkey nest

I've never had a hen return to the nest once she's spooked. The first time it happened was when I left a pile of brush on the clearing for my house. When I went to move it a hen flew off. I backed away but she never returned. Another time one of the dogs spooked one so we avoided her nest for the next month. When I did go back all the eggs were broken by a predator.

I have pretty much stopped mowing anything I haven't already done until later to avoid fawns and turkey nests. Missouri turkeys must be different as they are pretty darned tasty.

I do have a small section I have to mow, but beyond that I will be on hold for a bit.
