Felloow Pack mates,

Maybe as soon as this weekend I will hit 50 hours.

I plan to do the service myself (Unless you all tell me not too).

Do you go to the dealer for filters/oil or is there an internet site?

Just curious also if any of you ahead of me can give me advice on gotcha's or etc for the 50 hour service. :D

Thanks in advance

Come on down here and buy your filters - I will give you better prices (I promise - running a special right now!) than NAPA or any other store and you get OEM KIOTI Filters. Engine Oil that is your choices, Shell Rotella, Chevron Delo, Mobil Delvac, to many combinations, synthetic vs. conventional, we use standard Rotella. Hydraulic Oil for HST and Hydraulics - We sell Castrol UTF. Yes little expensive but absolutely the cleanest and longest lasting out of the jug you can buy!

NOTE: Hydraulic Filter and HST filter; I have not been able to convert to a aftermarket filter.

I was planning to come see you Tony. Just keeping you honest ;):D

Hey! I ground my first two Black Walnut stumps the other day, worked well, I think I need to adjust the top link a little, but it ate them up!

The service is not that hard to do. Just make sure you have all the filters and enough oil. I had my dealer send me all the filters when I bought my tractor, that way it was easier that trying to get them later. Oil I did buy locally. I put an old carpet under my tractor and then cardboard and newspaper over that, wife doesn't like oil in the ground. Make sure you have enough pans for all the hydraulic oil, kind of surprising how much their is. I didn't have that much trouble getting the filters off but other have so be prepared for very hard to unscrew filters. It is a really good idea to read the manual regarding how to do the service. :)

I buy my oil locally.
I run Rotella T 5w-40 synthetic in the motor and currently using Rotella Heavy duty tractor transmission fluid.
For parts and/or filters I just call a dealer and have them sent to the house.
I have gotten excellant results/service from Michigan Iron for parts/filters the several times I've ordered from them.

The service manual?

Where do I get one?

The owners manual is pretty slim on details...

:D

You can order parts manuals and service manuals from your dealer.
I like to have both.
The Service manual helps with assembly/dissasembly, servicing, torque specs, engine/transmission specs, Etc.
The parts manuals have a really nice breakdown of all the parts and part numbers.

Hydrostat filter was a REAL bugger to get off. Apparently it was installed, glued and welded on before painting. Also, don't skip tightening bolts, including lug nuts........especially lug nuts (experience talking here). Also, a pump to fill the hydraulic fluid is helpful. Good luck.

Definately go with the dealer. I had my dealer get me 3 oil filters, and air filter and hst/tranny and fuel filters all at one time to save shipping costs.... turns out he said hed deliver them as hes going to be in the area.

I love these Kioti dealers..
