I had to do it while relocating my alternator (installing on board air compressor in my jeep) I was pretty sure I got the size right or the V belt but I didnt - took it to the town on battery and spend time trying different belts in front of the shop.
As almost everybody mentioned already - my main concern was the fuel injection, since it needs over 11.5V to run.
But I have dual batteries in my jeep - one is for starting and daily use and the other one for accessories and I can give a boost to myself
