Alternator for 6610S

Do they make an alternator that will fit the 6610S that doesn't need the battery temperature sensor. If so what is the model and where can I find one. I am having constant problems with the sensor and the battery doesn't get charged. A rat chewed the wires on my last one and they are 60 bucks to replace.

The temperature sensor is most likely a resistive device, and if you can find what the resistance should be for normal operation, you can just mount a regular resistor up by the alternator and it will think the temperature is fine.

Go to radio shack and buy a 200 ohm resistor and wire it in instead of the temp sensor.
