Aluminum Ramps Specification...

I am looking to get a set of aluminum ramps for my BX2670. From the specs, I think the tractor, mower deck, loader, and operator would weigh about 2500 pounds

I see ramps that handle 2000 pounds per axle. Does that mean those ramps could potentially handle a load of 4000 pounds--2000 pounds on each ramp?...

The 2670 has standard turf tires on it that measure approximately 12 wide. Would a 12 wide ramp be acceptable or should I go a wider one?...

I think those ramps would work. I have 5000 lbs rated aluminum ramps on my trailer and they have worked well loading my brothers L3540 with FEL and stone rake-probably 4500 lbs.

Your logic is faulty, but the result is the same. No, it is not 2000 lbs per ramp, it is 2000 lbs per AXLE...of the vehicle you are loading. In this case your tractor. If it is evenly divided, you are only 1250 lbs per axle. I guarantee it is not even, but you won't have an issue with that as neither axle is likely to exceed 2000 lbs, and even if they do, if you are nearly off with one axle when the other comes on, you are in much better shape as the big concern is the load at mid span. Of course I am assuming a 4-5' ramp for length, and not something super long.

Wider is nice, especially since front and rear track widths are often not the same, and extra width makes it easier to line up. Make sure you can fit both front and rears on the same track before you commit.

You looking at discountramps.com? I got some real nice alum ramps from them a few years back. Real happy with them. Mine are 5' long and about 15" w, IIRC. Rated for 5k per axle 8k total, and I am sure I push them some with the loaded rears, but then I don't trailer the tractor much anymore.
