Am I asking too much?

I think your price is proper and it should stand as firm. Heck of a deal for all that equipment. But....

I also think it is too big of a package deal, as others have said.

If someone offered me $14,000 for that package I would be like rolling on the floor laughing and jump to my feet in a hurry and say...."Now get to heck out of here.!!"

I think I would sell some of the attachments on Craigslist to shrink the package and depending on what is left....still ask for the $25,000.

Don't take it personal, there are many that will low ball.. You have to be patient in this economy. You know what you have and how it has been taken care, just gotta wait for the right buyer.

When I see prices dropping on Craigslist, I start thinking the seller is desperate.

Still you'll just end up with the tlb without some options for 25K. Matt

Yep.. sell the TLB. If they show up at your place and ask about the other attachments -- that'll cost more!

As I've "justified" having one of these or one of those attachments - my place is beginning to get kinda crowded and some of those things are living on pallets and under tarps!

Folk's that are buying (or looking) for a compact TLB might not have it in their mind that they're gonna have to clear another 1/2 acre just to park everything you're offering!!!

Patience... patience.

Not to pile on, but the package is simply too large a nut. The psychology of it. Some people don't want it all, just parts and pieces.

I know you don't want to part it out, particularly, but if moving it is your goal, you may have to rethink your strategy. Best wishes.

I'm really not opposed to parting it out but I've sold a few implements and get the same lowball bs. Even if I put firm in my adds I still get them crazy buyers. I guess one good think is that the plow an loader forks also work on 4000 series loaders. I think I'm going to bump the pricing to 30k if I do part it out. I feel the tractor with loader is worth $18-19k. I paid 8k for the hoe installed so I'm figuring on at least 5k. So there's $23-24k right there. The brush bull was only used a few times. I paid $1400, so I figure $1k is fair. The harley rake has got to be worth $4k. The box blades got to be worth $350-400. The rear blade I was thinking $325, I've never used it but the wear bar is abit rust from sitting. What would be a fair price for the I match? I think I paid around $250. The grapple is in 100% working order so what's afair price there? I think markham gets around $1k new so is $500 fair? The snow plow need some wire wheeling an paint. So I think $300 is fair. So I'm at almost $32k and I've got a few other attachments I haven't added in yet.

Matt, Sometime at our business, we let a customer place equipment on our lot on consignment. They tell us the very bottom dollar they need on each piece and we get all above that we can for our efforts. On dealers lots, your equipment will be insured (be sure to verify this). Just another idea, I thought I would throw out there. I would not advertise that "high grade" line of equipment on Craigslist in any circumstances. Ken Sweet

Thanks Ken,I have considered that option. I did contact a local dealer and he was unwilling to agree to the terms. He wanted to set my prices, I told him what I wanted to get an he said his margin would be too small for the deal. Ironically when I was buying new I price his dealership and his price and the deere build site was the same with no discount. When I questioned this he told me he has higher overhead than other dealers. So I told him so do I and went elsewhere.

That may be his way of doing business, however, It is not the "Norm". I have sold a lot of equip over the years and not make a penny. Just had the buyer make the check to the consignor. His way or the highway kinda dealer rubs most people the wrong way:) Ken Sweet

Ken, do you feel my pricing is realistic? I'm talking with a deere dealer(heavy eq) in Va who has the deere mini I'm looking for. He's asking 30k and I've sent him some pics along with a list over my package. Some dealers seem real interested intially then don't commit.

Yes. I think it is priced realistic. That non commital attitude is kinda par for dealers, I bet if they could eyeball it and kick the tires, they would appreciate it much more. Ken Sweet
