Mine has the 3.73 gears and I would be O.K. with the 4.10's. I've only towed with mine a little bit but I thought it downshifted quite a bit.

There are a couple of things I miss about the Dodge. The underseat storage under the rear seat and the fold flat floor was nice and the pocket in the door were larger, but truth is you just end up hauling around a bunch of crap you don't need.

GM does make a I think it was dealer installed storage bin for under the back seat. Have one in my 2012 Crew Cab 1/2 ton that was in there when I purchased it in 2014.

The 6.0 GM is a dog up at elevations in Wyoming. I could not believe that it required 3rd gear and 5000 rpm to tow a 3500 pound tractor. I helped moved a friend and drove his rig and was glad to hand him back the keys...

Glad I don't live there, no problems down here in the flat country doesn't even know that kind of weight is behind it. Sounds like only a diesel would work well where you are at.

Yea. I have a 6.0 diesel for the heavy stuff and a ecoboost for my mountain travels. At 7000 to 10000 feet, there's a replacement for displacement and that is turbo psi.

I actually have to run a tune on my diesel to de-rate the fuel when I tow up to my cabin at 10000 feet, otherwise it's just a cloud of black smoke. I can't put a big enough turbo to push the thin air up there, so it's easier to pull fuel.
