I don't know how it happened, me or my father have bent the top link. I was trying to adjust it and it would not turn. It is bent on the threads of the ball. At a later time I noticed the keeper for the top link (the thing that holds it when not attached to an implement) is also bent along with the bracket that it mounts on. I am goint to have to keep an eye out to see what I'm doing wrong. JC

Rolltide,

I bent mine just as you are describing on my 2210. What happen there was enough play between the top link where it connects to the ballast box that the nut caught the metal edge and simply bent the link. I will tell you when you go into the dealer and price that top link you will most likely flip out, because he/she will most likely quote you around $150 (this was the price 4-years ago and I'm not sure what it might be today) or more dollars and I ended up going to Tractor Supply and getting one for $30.

So far I have broken one of the eye bolts on the 3ph anti sway turn buckle, and the cable for the mower height adjustment (done at dealer before delivery no one is very impressed with the design). /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Breaking stuff is just part of owning a tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Funny you should mention the mower height adjustment. Bought a 3320, and know they aren't the same size with a 7-iorn 72" mower. Today it won't lower. I can hear the pump putting pressure on the cyl. but sill nothin. The height adj. screw is bent and can see binding. 56 Hours. Now I'm kicking the deck and using words I'm sure JD has heard before. Suddenly I hear a noise, the deck drops, and everything is fine. Can't make it do it again, but....I DIDN'T PAY $30,000 FOR THIS KIND OF PROBLEM. Know this is a drop in the bucket for JD, but maybe some pride should be taken in the product the name is put on. Kobota and other companys haven't become this big, and sold there products here because of these minor mistakes. Just blowing off steam, but I belive my name is my word and from past experience shows who I am, not who I was.
