How many here are amateur radio operators? Looking for idea's on what everyone has for antennas both UHF/VHF and HF. Currently looking for new options on UHF/VHF.
What do you use and how does it work for you?

KB9UDE here. Name is John. I had to sell all my equipment in a nasty divorce but am starting to look at equipment again. I had a Diamond X500HNA dual band antenna at 60 feet on 7/8 hard-line. Worked like a champ. I used simple dipole antenna's for the limited HF experience I had.

Thanks for the replies guys I currently have a Diamond X50N for UHF/VHF and a G5RV for HF don't have lots of room like I used too. I would like something a little better than the Diamond but need to consider wind rating as I live on the coast! I feed my current setup with 50 feet of 1/2" hard-line.

My callsign is in my signature line and is my user name.:)

My Current antennas: Cushcraft MA5B mini beam at 13 meters heights for 20, 17, 15, 12, and 10 meter bands.
Off Center Fed Dipole 136 feet long at 12 meters height for all HF bands including 6 meters.
Arrow 1/4 wave vertical at 8 meters for 6 FM
A very old Hustler 6 db gain 2 meter vertical at about 14 meters height.
Coax is Davis Buryflex RG8 sized
It all works, maybe not as good as some things, but it gets me where I need to go most of the time.

Interesting James how old is the Arrow 1/4 wave? Sounds like something I need to check out.

WOW not much to that works ok on FM ????

It works very well on 6 meter FM. Also very sturdily built. I have used it on 6 SSB also. While SSB traditionally used Horizontal polirazation, sometime on E skip propagation, the polarization gets twisted up anyway.
